While I was cooking dinner on the grill I noticed a little visitor by our garden hose.

Sally promptly began "mothering" the baby skunk, she assured me that baby's don't spray.

Of coarse Sal knew she shouldn't be handling the little guy, they tell us they are all a rabies threat, we called a gal that will take the baby tomorrow and make sure he is nourished and put back in a safe wild area, possibly with an "adoptive" family. There was no sign of mommy or any brothers or sisters. As instructed we gave him a little water soaked kitty food and some water with a little sugar mixed in to make sure he is hydrated and healthy for his trip tomorrow.

 ...apparently the food was to his liking and he seemed quite comfortable in his temporary accommodations.
